The path to happiness

If the path to happiness lies in appreciating the simple things in life then running will lead you to that path. How fantastic is it to have a bath or a shower after a run? Or a drink of cool water because you are hot and thirsty? Or to eat because you feel hungry, not because its a mealtime? In western society most of us are lucky to have these daily ‘necessities ‘ available to us anytime and take them for granted.
Needless to say I enjoyed all 3 after my long run today! (10k at easy pace).

Hi my name is julie and I took up running at the age of 46! Hence 'mawil' Middle Aged Woman In Lycra. I did it at first because someone asked me to do a charity run with them. I couldn't run at all, but pride wouldn't let me be seen to be unable to run so I started a walk run programme.
