Feeling a bit apprehensive about going for a run after my bad chest,I decided to go back to the beginning with couch to 5k and reassured myself only 20minutes mostly walking.
I got changed into my kit and I felt different. A Pavlovian response? Running kit equals running equals feel good? I also realised that I love my trainers.
They are due to be upgraded soon but I will miss them. It’s a bit like your first -car maybe no other pair will ever be the same! Whatever it is I felt better when I got into my kit.
It was also good that I did the c25k. Compared to April last year when I couldn’t do a 60 second run it was good to be running the running bits! So there was a sense of progress and achievement.
Today I also booked a training session at the gym. The good news? It’s included on my gym membership! It’s a set up session with a review every 6 weeks so I think it’s just what I need.
All in all a good day for fitness.
