Finally got out for a run! Woke up at 7:30 and thought ‘shall I go to parkrun?’ I hardly acknowledged the thought ‘ no I will be too slow’ but thought ‘if I’m still awake in half an hour’ and then went back to sleep.
Of course it was too hot when I woke up again at half 9. So I went out in the end at 8:30pm. It was a struggle at first you know, feeling really heavy, but after 20 minutes I was feeling ok. Did 50mins.
I really need to get back into morning runs. Not only is it cool but it is better to get it done and have that feeling of satisfaction rather than worrying about when to fit it in all day.
My marathon training plan started ok for 5 days ( 2were rest days) but the last 3 days required 2 runs and I missed both. I blamed it on work but I could have done 1 if I’d tried harder to get up early.
So my 1step task is to get up early tomorrow to run. For now I’m just celebrating the fact that I went today!
