Summer is over

I didn’t think that it was late when I want out for a run this evening so I was surprised to see the moon out. I’d decided to do my 4k route along the canal. The late hour hit home when I had to run through a shady glade down to the canal about 200m long. I looked down and although I could see the path I couldn’t see the end or what was inside. It occurred to me that if I was attacked there people would ask why I was stupid enough to go there! So I ran through as fast as I could and called it a fartlek!
Safely home now. Must get an earlier start in future!

About mawil1

Hi my name is julie and I took up running at the age of 46! Hence 'mawil' Middle Aged Woman In Lycra. I did it at first because someone asked me to do a charity run with them. I couldn't run at all, but pride wouldn't let me be seen to be unable to run so I started a walk run programme. I stuck with it and to my surprise I found that I liked it- after a couple of weeks of progress I was hooked! My blog is about my progress in running and how I fit it in with the rest of my life.
