Midweek miles.

Sitting here blogging instead of running. I finished work early today and popped home to get ready for running club, closed my eyes for a minute but fell asleep until my husband got home from work. Last night I did another late run ( setting out after 9pm). It seems to work ok for me. It was a lovely light, warm evening and I slept like a log when I got back after 4 miles. Tonight, I’m still undecided. ? Quick couple of miles or early night and plan for the am, I could do some squats now. 

Time for a cup of tea whilst I think!

Hi my name is julie and I took up running at the age of 46! Hence 'mawil' Middle Aged Woman In Lycra. I did it at first because someone asked me to do a charity run with them. I couldn't run at all, but pride wouldn't let me be seen to be unable to run so I started a walk run programme.     I’m contemplating falling asleep! Lol but if you are up for it literally – it can’t hurt, little bit cooler now enjoy x

    Do the run…..I can’t think of a time when I have chosen run over not run, and regretted it.

      Very true, I have never wished that I hadn’t gone for a run. But on this occasion I went to bed instead! Felt a bit guilty when I read your comment but slept really well! Reassured myself that rest is really important for running!
