Day 4 janathon 2015

Yoga today. Just as well because

1. It was icy out and I don’t want to slip.

2. So much exercise this week that I have run out of sports bras until I do the laundry!

After yoga we went go karting which I expect undid all the good of yoga!!

I think / hope that yoga counts as exercise, as realistically I wouldn’t want to  be running every day, I think that I would injure myself!

Something cardiovascular tomorrow!

Hi my name is julie and I took up running at the age of 46! Hence 'mawil' Middle Aged Woman In Lycra. I did it at first because someone asked me to do a charity run with them. I couldn't run at all, but pride wouldn't let me be seen to be unable to run so I started a walk run programme.     I’m doing Yoga for the FIRST TIME tomorrow. My work has hired a Yoga instructor to come in once/week starting tomorrow. I hope it counts as exercise. 🙂

      I’m sure it counts. How cool to have yoga at work! Sometimes I find it difficult ie keeping my balance or holding a position, but I always feel great afterwards. Enjoy!

    Yoga is definitely exercise and one of he best things you can do to compliment running 🙂

  3. Yoga is supposed to be a great thing to do to compliment running. I have a number of friends who do it as part of their crosstraining who swear by its benefits. Sounds like a great day of exercise and family fun 🙂

    My running has improved dramatically since I began practising yoga. I run 4 days a week and do 2 classes of yoga now. The best part has been running injury and pain free.
