Oscardiamond – for you!

About mawil1

Hi my name is julie and I took up running at the age of 46! Hence 'mawil' Middle Aged Woman In Lycra. I did it at first because someone asked me to do a charity run with them. I couldn't run at all, but pride wouldn't let me be seen to be unable to run so I started a walk run programme. I stuck with it and to my surprise I found that I liked it- after a couple of weeks of progress I was hooked! My blog is about my progress in running and how I fit it in with the rest of my life.

Beautifully decorated room. Good reading light, elegantly drooping tulips and a reasonable number of books on display. I see no justification for implying the possibility of hoarding!

Books never count as hoarding. They’re an essential part of a well balanced existence. The perfect number is books is always how ever many you have plus a few…

Funny you mention maps! I have to resist an impulse to buy them (pre-loved ones, of course). I picked up 5 or 6 at Wimpole after parkrun last Saturday having decided not to activate the resist centre in my brain on the grounds they were essential to my mental health.

Maps are great for mental health!! Especially if it’s a place you know or love. As a junior doctor I taught anatomy for a year. Imagine how pleasantly surprised to find that the coffee room had a number of British and world atlases dotted around- and even better my peers all threw themselves upon them with glee! We’d found our niche and we are still all friends niw😊

That’s a happy story and a lovely outcome.I think I’ll be reduced to advertising for map orientated mates. I’m probably the only one in the village!

  4. Definitely not hoarding.
